BODY ALCHEMY'S FOUNDER

"I want to help re-establish people's relationship to food and body image"

Meet Lauren Wayman, the visionary force behind Body Alchemy. With a lifelong dedication to health and wellness, Lauren began her journey at just 15 years old, seeking solutions to her own struggles with food and body image. Frustrated by the conflicting messages of diet culture, she embarked on a mission to find a better way.

Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from The Ohio State University, Lauren continued her journey through a rigorous clinical internship at the University of Virginia's Health Systems hospital. Becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, she laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors.

Drawing from years of experience as a fitness and weight loss coach, Lauren witnessed the complexities of individuals' relationships with food and their bodies. Guided by her mantra — "I want to help re-establish people's relationship to food and body image" — she honed her skills and refined her approach.

With over a decade of coaching experience and having aided hundreds of successful transformations, Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. Her commitment to ongoing education, including specialized nutritionist training and enrollment in the Oncology Nutrition Institute, underscores her dedication to excellence.

In 2023, Lauren rebranded as Body Alchemy Nutrition, embodying the ancient science of alchemy — the transformation of one substance into something entirely new. For Lauren, this represents not only the physical transformation of bodies but also the spiritual journey of aligning with one's true self.

At Body Alchemy, Lauren empowers individuals to break free from harmful dieting patterns, embrace intuitive eating, and rediscover their innate connection to food and well-being. With Lauren as your guide, you'll embark on a transformative journey toward lasting health, balance, and empowerment.

Lauren Wayman lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband, Dylan — her favorite person, place, and thing.
She spends her free time walking (especially with dogs), writing, sipping good wine, and admiring trees. When she’s not meeting with clients, she’s usually deep in study; exploring topics that bridge the spiritual and the physical. Her favorite ways to move include hiking, yoga, biking, and strength training (though she admits it gets a little dull sometimes).
Lauren’s favorite foods? Summer fruits, raw milk, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, steak, giant salads with alllll the vegetables — and of course,
bread and butter.
She loves working with clients who are ready to feel like themselves again; naturally, without shame, restriction, or rigidity
“The more freedom I learn to give myself, the more I can give to others.”

This is the spirit she brings to her work: rooted, experienced, and radically honest support for people who want to feel good in their bodies, and trust themselves again.
