Body Alchemy -Transformation through Balance and Awareness

First, what is Alchemy? Alchemy is referred to as Nature’s Sacred Science.

It is the origin of biochemistry. “Bio” meaning “life”, and “khemia” or “chemistry” meaning “cast together” in Greek.

Alchemy is the ancient art of transmutation; transforming matter from one form into another through natural elements.

Such as turning metal into gold.

In traditional Alchemy, Aristotle described nature’s qualities through four elements: Air, Fire, Water, Earth.

We see these elements referred to in many traditions and healing practices around the world.

Body Alchemy terms these elements as Perception, Ignition, Motion, Creation, and works to harmonize their qualities to optimize your health.

Perception: Your knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes towards your body

Ignition: What you eat, drink, and how you fuel your body

Motion: How you move your body and how your body moves you

Creation: What your body expresses physically and how your lifestyle is fashioned

These four qualities are at the core of every human being, and are essential to transforming, or essentially, transmuting, the physical body through three key principles.

  1. Awareness: the ability to recognize and respond to your emotional state, thought patterns, and your body's cues
  2. Acceptance: the ability to embrace your body and your health exactly as it is now (despite what you'd like to change)
  3. Balance: the ability to adapt, readjust, and stay centered through all season's of life

Balance is a state of equilibrium. It’s an active, not passive, state. To put its meaning in an analogy; balance is the mechanism by which you cross the tightrope.

These three principles initiate and support the process of change.

Change happens in a spiral or cycle pattern, not a linear line. In other words, to transform something, you must face it and understand it in order to move beyond it. Do not fall victim to strict rules or goals, avoidant behavior, or denial!

The power of awareness is that it brings our attention to the parts of ourselves that may or may not be interfering with our health. Once you can accept yourself on all levels, you experience an inner freedom, and you embark on the many phases, or cycles, of change.

That’s the magic behind transformation!

The Power of Communication

One of the greatest gifts in life is language. Language is one of our major systems in communicating. It is not just words, but is expressed in tones as well. While texts, email, and written guides are accessaible to you, you will also engage in a weekly coaching meeting. These are vital to your progress. Not just so you can hear me blab on about nutrition and the human body, but so that I can hear from you! These weekly meetings are our meet up point to discuss how things are going in order to know what to do next!

Here is a wisdom nugget for you to chew on:

What you HEAR, effects how you SEE.

Your ability to acheive your goals is always going to be determined by your perspective.

Achieve Results through Critical Thinking

I refrained from using the word "diet" here. Diet simply refers to what you consume.

For example; Social media is a form of diet as you digest and process the information coming across your screen.

However, many of you have negative associations with the word "diet" from past exeriperiences. So nutrition strategies is your fresh start.

Nutrition strategies are used in conjunction to developing your personal awareness and never orride the body's natural instincts. Body Alchemy uses methods such as

  • Macronutrient ratios and tracking tools
  • Intentional caloric increases and decreases
  • Keto or Modified Ketogenic Diets
  • Elimination diets
  • Supportive supplements
  • Gut Reset Protocols and fasting methods
  • Travel, vacation, and event planning
  • Conscious Eating (developing your intuitive eating skills)

Weekly Workouts and Physical Activities to Support Your Goals

Body Alchemy provides guidance and tailored workouts formatted to build muscle definition, strength, and endurance. You may have to modify movements depending on your physical state and experience with lifting, as well as your access to equipment, but I'm here to help you with that.

Physical activity is esstential, but not because you need to burn a bunch of calories. Instead, we look at what compliments your metabolism, supports your hormones, and well, makes the most sense for you! Most of us need minimum effective dose with emphasis on effective.

I'll give you a free tool to implement now:

Your most powerful form of exercise is walking!

The Power of Rest

I'm not here to tell you to do more than what is required of you. Infact, I'm here to tell you to slow down and stop stressing. I'm going to even teach you how to take a vacation, soak up the holidays, chill on the weekends, and ENJOY YOURSELF without fearing you'll lose your progress.

I've also designed a few protocols to bring the same peace to your body. This includes detox methods, fasting, restoring gut imbalances, and nervous system resets.

WHAT CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY

Working with Lauren has been one of the most beneficial investments I’ve ever made. Her attention to detail and ability to tailor a nutrition plan to my individual needs are second to none. Her knowledge of nutrition allows her to relate to all ranges of people and her tough love really drives the motivation home. Nutrition has a lot of gray area and Lauren does such an amazing job providing clarity over the many myths nutrition presents. She took my college girl eating habits and transformed me into an energy-rich, nutrition-savvy machine. She’s amazing to work with and the ultimate professional. To have energy to last through the day when working with children and their parents is a HUGE deal. Dentistry for children is no walk in the park. I have learned so much to carry with me through life to help keep my energy levels high and my body image healthy. I would work with her 100 times over!

Marcus H DDS.

"I have all the respect in the world for anyone who can improve their health on their own.  I simply couldn't have done it without Lauren's expertise and understanding of nutrition, fitness, and how to make these things work in the busy, real world.   All the testimonials are true.  She is an excellent person and truly wants the best for her clients.  I had tried diets before, went to the gym a few times a week, but I didn't have a working solution. People ask me about losing weight, and I tell them again and again that I had every advantage because I made the decision to work with Lauren."

Michael D.

I’m a repeat client of Lauren’s. Both times I’ve worked with her, I came to her at my wits end, having tried “everything” on my own to lose weight after having my children, but was unsuccessful. I was convinced I needed medications to lose weight and that I couldn’t do it on my own.  At the end of the road, in complete desperation, I reached out to Lauren and she welcomed me back to coaching with open arms! My goal this time around was to lose weight and then get to a point with my nutrition that I could not track macros day in and day out.  I want to be able to eat intuitively, respecting my body’s needs while maintaining weight.

At every point, Lauren has far exceeded my expectations. As a master of her craft, she is extremely knowledgeable and constantly striving to solve the puzzle of what will work best for me on my journey! She has helped me tune into what my body is telling me, and had also taught me how to listen and respond appropriately. Lauren has helped me break my overeating/mindless eating habits that used to plague me.

 Nicole D.

“To get straight and to the point - Lauren changed my life. After having my second baby, I felt like I officially lost myself. I gained 50 pounds...twice in 2 1/2 years. There was no way I was ever going to be proud of my body again. I worked with Lauren for about 5 months, and MAMA IS BACK! I never thought it would be possible, but I trusted Lauren's process and I look better than I did before I had babies. It was hard, but she was cheering me on, and checking me (lol) when I needed it. I promise you, it will be the best thing you do for yourself.”
